Today is an all-bitumen loop down through Eden Park.  There is a brief 400 meter hill challenge up Janna Road which will give you an insight or glimpse of how amazing professional cyclists are, that they can conquer kilometres of this type gradient and more in the European Alps.  This ride is recommended for anyone going on the Macedon Challenge ride.

There is a slightly shorter route with a gentler grade which bypasses the Janna Rd hills but this road is gravel and no where near as much fun.  We will return to Wallan for coffee via the Whittlesea Rd making a total of 37km for the day.
The route may be viewed at http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2304019

In summary: all bitumen with hills (road-bike friendly) or fewer hills with some gravel (not so road-bike friendly)

Meet at Hadfield Park near the Mechanics Institute for an 0930 start.  A list of MBUG ride start points can be found on Google maps at http://g.co/maps/d4txy.
