The Wallan Environment Group (WEG) will be holding a wildflower walk along the Hidden Valley Rail Reserve on Sunday 24 September from 10:00am to 12 noon (weather permitting) meeting at the top of Lucca Way (see map here – follow the red line).
Fletcher who has led previous walks along the reserve has confirmed he is able to lead this one as well. There will also be some WEG and APS (Australian Plants Society) members with excellent ID skills to support him. You are most welcome to join us and bring along anyone else who may be interested. It will be a very casual and relaxing event looking for plants in flower and learning their names. This is a good opportunity to become more familiar with the area, and for those who have been there before, an opportunity to note any changes and to inspect first-hand the outcomes of the woody weed removal program undertaken by contractors earlier this year on behalf of WEG.
MBUG member Tim Budge has built a flier which can be downloaded here as required to advertise this event.
