| Meet at Tallarook to take a 36KM ride. Leaving Tallarook via a short section of the Great Victorian Rail Trail. We will turn off at Schoolhouse Lane, then onto Dysart Road. Along the way we will see lovely green fields, old rail sidings and travel skirting the Hume Freeway.
Need to take care when we leave Dysart Road, as we travel down the main road towards Seymour. When we reach The Winery Kitchen, we will then travel a very short distance on the Old Hume Hwy, to the riverside shared path. From there it is into Seymour for a coffee stop. After Coffee we will travel under the railway lines and out of town on the Goulburn Valley Hwy. Here we will be treated to lovely views of the Tallarook Ranges. We follow the Hwy over the Goulburn River bridge, then turn onto the Great Victorian Rail Trail, heading back to Tallarook. Shortly after we join the rail trail, on the left, you can stop and see the 2/22nd Australian Infantry Battalion Memorial. Continuing along the trail we will enjoy magnificent views of the Goulburn River and return to our start for another well-earned coffee in Tallarook. Some gravel sections, so hybrids recommended.
