This week’s Wallan ride gives us the opportunity to see what a great job the two working bees have done in cleaning up the Hidden Valley rail reserve so it can be ridden.
The ride itself is a moderate 24km loop out Rowes Lane to Old Sydney Rd, then along the ridge up to Pretty Sally Hill and back to town for refreshments via Arkells Lane and the Hidden Valley Rail Trail. Just because this ride is short, don’t think you won’t earn your coffee today, there is a significant, though very pretty climb up to Pretty Sally before that lovely ride down into Hidden Valley via Arkells Lane and the old railway reserve.

There are many gravel surfaces on this ride, so a MTB or Hybrid are recommended.
Meet near the Mechanics Institute Hall in Hadfield Park for an 0900 start.
