Where

Heathcote Visitor Information Centre
Corner Northern Highway and Barrack St, Heathcote, Victoria

Today we will be riding out of Heathcote along the O’Keefe Rail Trail towards Lake Eppalock.  Once we cross the Mt Ida arm of the lake we will carefully cross the McIvor Hwy into Drummonds Rd and return to Heathcote via Drummonds and Coppermine Rds.  We have invited our colleagues from the Friends of the Bendigo Kilmore Rail Trail group to come along if they wish, so we may have some new friends to talk to along the way.

Please ensure you register for this event in case we need to cancel due to the latest COVID outbreak or if adverse weather is predicted, don’t forget to include your mobile number so we can text you.

A plot of the proposed 27km route may be viewed at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34280094.
Most of this ride is on gravel surfaces, so a MTB or Hybrid is recommended

We will meet for an 0900 start near the Heathcote Visitor Information Centre located at the corner of in Barrack St and the Northern Highway in Heathcote.  We suggest you park further down Barrack St. and ride/walk back.
A list of MBUG ride start points may be viewed at http://g.co/maps/d4txy . Look for the “Heathcote Visitor Information Centre” entry (last entry at the moment).
