Today we will ride the loop out Rowes Lane to the Old Sydney Rd, climbing from there to the top of the Pretty Sally Hill from which it is practically all downhill back to Wallan via Arkells Lane and the Epping Rd.
This ride has some very pretty sections along wooded roads and commanding views back towards Melbourne from up on the Pretty Sally Hill.
A shorter option exists (you can bail at the top of Pretty Sally), but it is not nearly as much fun as riding down Arkells Lane. You can even stop and check out the proposed route of our new Rail Trail as you cruise down Arkells Lane.
