This lovely 21km ride will first take us away from the Whittlesea township to the historic Toorourrong Reservoir where we can view and read about this amazing engineering effort of the 19th century (and yes they really do harvest water from the other side of the Great Dividing Range). When we are done, we will ride the long way home along Wildwood Rd where we will cross and ride beside the paved channel to Yan Yean Reservoir before returning to a Whittlesea cafe for refreshments via the new estates at the North part of town.
Meet inside the gate to the Whittlesea football ground where there is plenty of parking, and toilets are available. The gate is on the left heading out of Whittlesea on the Yea Rd. just after crossing the Plenty River bridge. The vehicle entrance to the football ground is through the low brick fence just before the Show ground main entrance.
If there is an event on and you are expected to pay to enter, just park across the road and walk/ride over.
Be there for an 0900 start.

Lots of gravel along Wildwood Rd, so MTB or Hybrid recommended
