Today Greg will lead you out west of Lancefield on a relatively short 20km ride around the western and northern outskirts of the town. To make things interesting though, along the way he will take you to visit Stirling Berries which is a small working blueberry farm owned and operated by Janine and Howard Stirling. Sadly there won’t be any tastings because the berries will not be ripe yet (if they were we wouldn’t be able to visit anyway because they would be very busy picking), however Janine and Howard will be happy to show you around the orchard and they will do their best to answer your questions about the growing and distribution of their fruit and all things blueberry.
Once you have absorbed enough information about blueberries, Greg will lead you on the remainder of the planned route, however options are available to shorten this route if you have spent longer than expected at the farm.
Coffee will be at the Aspy Cafe on our return to Lancefield.
Some gravel so MTB or Hybrid recommended.
