Today Eadaoin will lead us on a beautiful ride along quiet roads to the north and west of Romsey.
First we will head north up the shared path to Ochiltrees Rd and use that and other roads to wind our way up to the Romsey-Woodend Rd which we briefly use to get us to the Kerrie Valley Rd that eventually takes us back to Romsey. Hopefully by the end of November things will have dried out enough to allow access across the Bolinda Creek ford in Kerrie Rd.
Coffee will be at Verdure in Romsey if we are back before they close at 1300, otherwise we may have to settle for either a takeaway coffee (so bring your keep cups) or an ice-cream (or both – an affogato maybe?) at the nearby Romsey Ice-cream Parlour.
At least half of this ride is gravel so bring along your MTB, CX or Hybrid – it is definitely not suitable for the roadie.
A plot of the proposed 25km route may be viewed at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19065249
Meet near the Lions Park in the main street of Romsey for an 0900 start.
