Sunday Aug 27 – Kensington to Westona Station

Today’s ride begins at Craigieburn Railway station with a train ride on the 0934 to Kensington.  We will make our way down to the Maribyrnong Trail and follow it and the Bay Trail all the way down past Scienceworks to Williamstown ansd then on to Altona where we can stop for lunch.  Along the way we will stop in at Jawbone Marine National Park which is an interesting area to explore. 
After lunch we make our way to Truganina Park where we will take in the great view across the Bay from the “100 steps of Federation” site.  From there it is a short ride to Westona station to catch the “silver limo” back to Craigieburn
Don’t forget to bring your Myki, bike lock and coffee Keep-cup. The ride is suitable for all bicycle types.

Note:  Depending on the predicted wind direction on the day, your ride leader may decide that the ride is better done in the reverse direction.  In this case you would change trains at North Melbourne to take you through to Westona.
