See the description of this event in the “Other News” section of this newsletter.
Last year a number of MBUG members expressed an interest in riding this worthwhile event however COVID forced it’s cancellation and so we are inviting all readers to come along in 2021.  You can choose any start point and distance option which suits your circumstances, but this MBUG event will be starting in Yea at the old Railway Station and riding to Cathkin for lunch via the Cheviot Tunnel and Nutfield (a working sheep farm where we will enjoy a Devonshire tea).
Note that this is not a free event – there is a registration fee which is the responsibility of each rider to pay before attending.  This is your donation to the cause.
There are a couple of ways you can register and pay:
1. Turn up at the Yea Station on the day between 0800 and 1100 or (preferably)
2. Pay beforehand by Paypal or credit card on the event’s Trybooking page at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing?eid=700445& then pick up your confirmation token at Yea Station before you ride.

The route is mainly on the granitic sand surface of the Great Victorian Rail Trail so a hybrid or MTB would be best suited to these conditions.

MBUG riders should meet at the Yea Railway Station at 12 Station St, Yea for an 0900 start. We will commence the ride after everyone has paid and registered at the start point. If you need clarification contact John by email at secretary@mbug.org.au or call Julie Lynch of Yea Rotary on 0447762557
See http://g.co/maps/d4txy for a list of MBUG start points.
